Mattie Freeland Park

While Mattie Freeland Park will soon become the City’s newest Westside park, a group of committed neighbors have helped improve this space, little by little, since 2008. This has been a labor of love for this group — shown through early morning trash pick-ups, sweaty park work days, and exciting summer block parties. As the park takes on a new look, we celebrate the meaning of this space to neighbors and the broader community, and invite others to stop by and learn about this incredibly special place.
